Weekly Podcasts on President’s Obama Relief for Undocumented Immigrants
The People’s Press Project, in conjunction with Mexi-can and local leaders on immigrant rights and immigration policy will be hosting a series of informational bilingual podcasts and local town hall meetings to inform people about President Obama’s recent announcements on immigration.
People who wish to learn more about the eligibility requirements, application process, necessary documentation and a number of other issues can listen to our podcasts and attend meetings to hear about the Deferred Action for Parental Accountability or DAPA, and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or DACA and the expansion of the DACA program.
Recently, President Obama made an announcement that he would be giving relief to potentially millions of undocumented people living in the United States. Although those programs are not yet available to the public, and will begin later this year, many people have questions about whether or not they will qualify and where to get reliable information and legal advisory.
The People’s Press Project, in a joint effort with community leaders knowledgeable about immigration, hope to empower and inform the people who are undocumented and may be eligible for the president’s immigration relief by hosting weekly bilingual podcasts that contain interviews with local lawyers and leaders, provide information and resources, and answer questions the public may have. These podcasts will be available online and social media in English and Spanish. We encourage the public to share this information with others to help us spread the word.
